TEA is a band from Switzerland. Out of a jam session in 1971 this Swiss supergroup was born. The three founders were Turo Pashayan (Ex-Sauterelles) on bass and vocals, Roli Eggli (Ex-Fact, Ex-Alaska Range) on drums and Armand Volker (Ex-New Hue, Ex-Tusk) on guitar. Taking the first initial of each of the founders' names, they named their band TEA. They toured Switzerland, Germany and the Netherlands and started to establish a name for themselves.

Pu-Ehr Tea Notes is inspired by the feelings and enjoyments of tea, as put forth in the parallel publication Journal du Thé. Oolong, Tulsi, Pu-Ehr, besides being various tea types, the titles of the compositions are reminiscent of the musicians’ daily lives, and the diversity of cultures present and celebrated within them. As a leaf infused in hot water, extracting its flavour and properties, the vibrations of Tea Notes open the road of a minimalistic soundscape.
