Sabatés started his career with the 1960s pop band, a group which also included guitarist, with whom he would frequently collaborate. After Pic-Nic broke up, Sabatés and Soler founded the psychedelic rock band OM, which also played in support of. In 1971-72 Sabatés led the jazz ensemble, which released two albums during that time  .

Toti Soler (born 1949, Vilassar de Dalt, Spain) is a Catalan guitarist, composer and singer. His recording career started with the Spanish pop group Pic-Nic in 1967. He also began recording solo singles in the late '60s under his given name, Jordi Soler. After Pic-Nic broke up he co-founded the psychedelic rock group OM in 1969. In 1971 Soler met Taj Mahal and the two performed a number of concerts together.
