Gong Maison came about after Daevid Allen’s return to the UK and more importantly following a French gig with former Gong member Didier Malherbe deciding to work with Didier again in a line up of Gong. The subsequent Gongmaison was formed in April 1989. The band took their name as it alluded to the mixture of house/jazz that the band played at the time which in fact was nearer house music although still contained all the relevant Gong elements of old. This performance comes from the bands performance in the early nineties and was filmed at the Fridge in Brixton.
