The Family Way is a soundtrack recording composed by Paul McCartney, released in January 1967. The album is the soundtrack to the 1966 film of the same name, directed by Roy Boulting and starring Hayley Mills.

It also should have pointed the way toward McCartney's classical collaborations with Martin, which might have produced some masterful work (McCartney, though, chose to work with other, less-simpatico orchestrators way off in the future). A United Artists single issued under the name of the George Martin Orchestra in 1967 offers a completely different, rock-edged treatment of "Love in the Open Air" - even including some then-fashionable Tijuana Brass-style horns.

Arranged By – George Martin. Composed By – Paul McCartney. Supervised By – George Martin. The Family Way ‎(LP, Album, Mono).

CHOBA B CCCP is the seventh solo studio album by Paul McCartney under his own name, originally released in October 1988 exclusively in the Soviet Union. The album consists entirely of live-in-studio recordings of covers, mainly of rock and roll oldies (similar to John Lennon's 1975 album Rock 'n' Roll). With the addition of an extra track, it was released internationally in 1991.

The Family Way (Soundtrack). August 1966 saw the Beatles deliver what would be their final live performance. The album sold poorly - failing to chart on either side of the Atlantic - but McCartney did win an Ivor Novello award for Best Instrumental theme via "Love In The Open Air".

The Family Way belongs as Macca's solo first album just as Wonderwall is George Harrisons. Macca later went on to do Liverpool Oratorio, Standing Stone, Working Classical, Ecce Cor Meum, Ocean's Kingdom all album that he does not perform on BUT are essential to his discography
Sigh. Why is this soundtrack album filed as a Paul McCartney solo album? So this was Maccas first album, followed by "McCartney" in 1970?! I wish I had the time and knowledge how to "clean up" all messy discographies on Discogs (which I absolutely love to about 90 %...)
This album is credited to Paul McCartney as all other albums by famous - most classical - composers are!See the listings of Ludwig van Beethoven or Johann Sebastian Bach, for example. They both NEVER played on one single album credited to them, but there are thousands listed with their name as main artist! And just have a look on the release itself: there's no other main artist mentioned than Paul McCartney (in very prominent lettering!) RSG §2.5.6..
