With The White Stripes, I would say that they were excellent right from the start, even though many listeners have not heard the songs on this album since they didn't get much radio play time, and the band wasn't known much outside of Detroit when this album came out. In that way, many listeners will feel like they are tapping secret music by the White Stripes right at their beginning. The music Jack White was already super good at playing guitar when they recorded this album. Summary I recommend this album with no reservations. It should have been played on the radio more than it was, except the band was still unknown at this point. Unlike other bands, this early White Stripes album was already very very good.

Hello , i have a version with a SFTRI red label but with no code or letter in the matrix. (nothing in the matrix) . It also appears that the cover may be a little bit different between this version and the regular 1999 one . Indeed if you look closely at Jack white on the extreme right, his right arm is clearly cut in the 1999 version but entire and cleared in this cover (like my copie too). An other thing is the number 15A in the film roll ( on right at jack's feet), there is almost no space with the border of the cover on the original cover and the "repress" have almost one centimenter of space. Can somebody told me what to do, i don't know if my copy ( who really looks like this version except that the label is red and have absolutely nothing etched in the matrix) it's a bootleg, a conterfeit, or a regular SFTRI variant...thank you ! I'll be happy to show the pictures i've taken.

..same strange version here. Also not sure, I suspect it's a counterfeit.
