Ralph Elias Flenniken (April 7, 1914 – December 30, 1995), known professionally as Ralph Flanagan, was a big band leader, pianist, composer, and arranger for the orchestras of Hal McIntyre, Sammy Kaye, Blue Barron, Charlie Barnet, and Alvino Rey. He was educated at Lorain High School in Lorain, Ohio, where he was a member of the National Honors Society, the student senate, the school newspaper staff (Hi-Y) and the chorus.

Coon-Sanders Original Nighthawk Orchestra, A famous Kansas City Jazz Band. Coon-Sanders' Original Nighthawk Orchestra. The Dal Side Of The Force. Bing Crosby with Irving Aaronson and His Commanders. Kay Kyser and His Orchestra.
Ralph Flanagan & His Orchestra were residents at the Palladium in Hollywood throughout the '50s, and this Collectors' Choice compilation reissues a radio show recorded there in September 1958. The band's sweet renditions of "Apple Blossom Time," "Up a Lazy River," and a special Gershwin medley are competent to say the least, though the musty sound quality is a big caveat.
