The Grey Album is a mashup album by Danger Mouse, released in 2004. It mixes an a cappella version of rapper Jay-Z's The Black Album with samples from The Beatles' LP The Beatles, commonly known as "The White Album". The Grey Album gained notoriety when EMI attempted to halt its distribution despite approval of the project from Jay-Z and the two surviving Beatles, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr.

The first time I heard the Palmolive sample and instrumental, I started to actually CRY! I didn't get any sleep thanks to this fuckin' album. I was expecting to love this but not to the point of it being in my top 5 of 2019. Bandana" is a hard-hitting project from beginning to end. Every song is absolute fire, every little skit is either funny or inspiring, the production is very funky and creative and MR. FREDDIE GIBBS ABSOLUTELY NAILS HIS PERFORMANCE. I danced through thw whole album with a smile on my face. This album is absolutely.

Before composing The Grey Album, DJ Danger Mouse was making CDR mixtapes with the British cartoon character of the same name featured on the artwork. These early mixtapes included mashups using Nas vocals and Portishead beats-not as refined as his current work, but an indication that a project like The Grey Album was not far away. Take a closer look and you will also see he was remixing a certain Liverpool band on his Promo Vol. 2 tape in 1999. That was the first time I ever mixed The Beatles, Danger Mouse later explained in a short video interview. While his initial attraction to reworking.

2 Riders on the Storm. Very special song at least for me, the day I bought this Greatest hits album of The Dorrs it was a stormy and rainy day and the same day I met a girl who after two months became my girlfriend. Now we are parted, but when I hear this song "Riders of the Storm" I am taken back to that day. Songs are like Time Machine that's the beauty of the songs. This is the trippiest song ever! - westofohio. Its awesome when you are driving on high speed in rain and listening to RIDERS ON THE STORM. Nothing beats this song

Grey album shows amazing ingenuity remixing a classic rock album 40+ years old with modern hip hop. Jay Z's lyrics a cutting and rythmic and we remixed Beatles beats give beautiful supporting melodies and hypnotic beats. check it out. it's worth your time if you've even heard of either artist. I like the fact that this project has heart. What I mean by that is DJ Danger Mouse released it for free and I also think its one of the better free Hip-Hop albums you can find anywhere on the internet, and overall it sounds cool but for some reason I am not entirely feeling the melding of 1960's Peace + Love whimsy added to Jay-Z's flows like some. This album is amazing. I have listened to it front and back. It has the perfect blend between one of the world's greatest rock bands and one of the world's greatest rappers. It is simply marvelous. Danger Mouse has done it again!
