Album · 1991 · 10 Songs. More By A Man Called Adam. See All. Farmarama Remixes, Vol. 1. 2019. Collected Works, Volume One.
A Man Called Adam’s Sally Rodgers and Steve Jones are back with an album of brand new songs. Like their two previously released and much loved studio albums (The Apple and Duende) Farmarama is a genre-hopping collection of melodic, emotional pop-not-pop tracks that run the gamut the band’s influences. From soulful slow jams to lo-fi disco, from deep house to dub and breakbeat, post-rock electronica and art-house ambience, the vinyl cut of Farmarama features 10 new tracks that retain the distinctive EMO Balearic sound familiar to their many fans yet pushes into new territories.

The Adam’s Apple is really just an enlarged larnyx which becomes big enough to be visible in your neck. For those of you who don’t know, the larnyx’s primary purpose is as a voice box. It also has an alternative purpose in aiding in the process of closing off the airways in your throat when you swallow. I think you need to read The Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy, that says that the Earth was populated by public servants from another planet and that god was in fact a mouse who hired a man called Slartybartfast to create the world as a super computer to workout the Ultimate Question of Life, The Universe and Everything, the answer to which.
A Man Called Adam's ethereal female vocals and inspirations from jazz as well as house make for easy comparisons with Everything But The Girl, though Rodgers and Jones gradually became more pop-slanted during the '90s. Paul Daley is a former member and went on to form Leftfield. Peter Woolcott is a former member and went on as Lacarno. 25 50 100 250 500. Albums.
The Adam's apple, or laryngeal prominence, is a feature of the human neck, and is the lump or protrusion that is formed by the angle of the thyroid cartilage surrounding the larynx seen especially in males. The structure of the Adam's apple forms a bump under the skin. It is typically larger in adult males, in whom it is usually clearly visible and palpable. In females, the bump is much less visible and is hardly perceived on the upper edge of the thyroid cartilage.
Around the same time, Paul Daley left the band to form Leftfield, leaving AMCA as a duo of Rodgers and Jones, who went on to release their debut album The Apple in 1991. Following the release of several singles from the LP ("I Want To Know", "The Chrono Psionic Interface" and "Bread, Love And Dreams"), A Man Called Adam left Big Life to set up their own label, Other Records.
