Produced by Steven Wilson. Holy Mother of the simple one When you smile at me you bring me down You betray your thoughts All your prayers too low Now out of debt, you speak in tongues And out of breath, your work is done And your dream, absolve And your path, dissolve And your dream, absolve And your path, dissolve. The album and this song is named after the Avenida de los Insurgentes, the longest avenue in Mexico City near which part of it was recorded. Insurgentes" Track Info.

There is also a hidden track not listed in the notes. The DVD also contains an 18 minute video excerpt from the full length film "Insurgentes" by Lasse Hoile and 2 trailers for the film. Design by Carl Glover.

Insurgentes KSCOPE 2017. Insurgentes marks an interesting first step into Wilson's solo album catalog, very much sounding like the outcome of a careful producer and songwriter-careful being the operative word. Few will undoubted come to this album without having first heard some (or likely a good number) of Wilson's other projects: Porcupine Tree, Blackfield, No-Man, Bass Communion, IEM, or any combination of those.

Insurgentes is the title of the first full-length solo album released by British musician and record producer Steven Wilson, known for being the founder and frontman of progressive rock band Porcupine Tree.

Steven Wilson's first official full length solo album: Insurgentes. After I first read about it coming I think not a day passed without me checking swhq. uk and later insurgentes. org, waiting for the pre-sale to start. Which brings me straight to the 18 minute trailer for the Insurgentes film included as a bonus feature on the DVDA. You see Steven Wilson prepare the iPods for the photo sessions. The only thing you hear him talk about is how music downloads and mp3 have taken the magic from music for the younger generation. am not going to write about that in length, there are lots of forum discussions going on about that matter.

Announcing Porcupine Tree's Steven Wilson's debut solo album 'Insurgentes'. The dark, cinematic and richly textured album represents two years' worth of creative output and numerous recording sessions worldwide in studios from Mexico City to Japan and Israel.

Still my favorite solo album by Steven Wilson, this LP is a must-have simply for the ridiculously excellent 'Mexico' variation of Insurgentes. The other vinyl-only tracks are great as well.
Insurgents will be my first Steve Wilson album, any recommendation as to which the next best one is that compares closely style wise and or presentation packaging? Really liked the deluxe edition preview of another album but reviews musically were so-so.
You might want to know that actually, the "bonus tracks" are not vinyl only. They were on the limited two disc edition and now are for free on his soundcloud.
