Jacob "Killa" Miller, legendary Reggae singer, exciting stage presence and memor. See actions taken by the people who manage and post content. Page created – 2 April 2008. First of all, after Bob, somebody who I felt could have been a big star was Jacob Miller. Bob basically became a rock star in Jamaican music, and Jacob, I felt, could have done the same. He was a big guy, but an incredible personality. I mean, I have a picture of Bob and Jacob and myself standing in front of a plane, and you look at it, and you would say that Jacob is the biggest star there without any question. He just had that presence.

At the time of his death in 1980, Jacob Miller was establishing a musical foundation of controversial, socially conscious lyrics that documented the struggles of Jamaica's underclass. Along with Bob Marley, who ironically died a year later, he represented the powerful spirit of oppressed people who refuse to accept injustice.
Jacob Miller (4 May 1952 – 23 March 1980) was a Jamaican reggae artist and a Rastafari. His first recording session was with the famous Clement "Sir Coxsone" Dodd in the late 1960s. While pursuing a prolific solo career, he became the lead singer for the reggae group Inner Circle. Miller recorded and toured with Inner Circle until he and his son died in a car accident in 1980. Miller was only 27 years old.
