Complete your Jon English & Mario Millo collection. i wasn't expecting much from this album as i had only ever heard "six ribbons" a few times on australian radio many moons ago but i found this in a 2 dollar bin and liked the cover so i took a chance. for me this is a mesmerising album that sounds like every track is the same song or melody done slightly.

Mario Millo (guitar) and Alex Plavsic (drums) performing with Sebastian Hardie in 2003. Ford left Sebastian Hardie by October 1973 to be replaced by Mario Millo on lead guitar. They recorded a second single "Day After Day" released in April 1974. By this time Tovio Pilt had replaced Dunne on keyboards and Millo took over on vocals. Besides covers they were playing original progressive rock material. Ford was a member of Sydney-based band, Pleasure Master in 1986 on guitar and vocals. Millo worked with Jon English on the 1978 TV series Against the Wind soundtrack, and the associated single "Six Ribbons" peaked at No. 8 on the national charts; both the album and its title track were translated as "Mot Alla Vindar" and peaked at.

Against the Wind is a soundtrack album for the Australian television miniseries Against the Wind (1978). Beating the Boards is the first live album released by Australian musician, Jon English. The album was released in Australia in April 1982. The album was recorded live at the following performances across Australia, Norway and Denmark.

A musician that really caught my attention was the Australian guitarist Mario Millo. He collaborated with fellow Australian tor Jon English on the original soundtrack to the TV-series "Against The Wind". Singer Jon English's greatest chart successes may have come during the 1970s, but his career has continued strongly, encompassing rock music, stage musicals, television, and cabaret. He originally fronted the dance band Sebastian Hardie until January 1972, when he joined the Australian stage production of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's Jesus Christ Superstar. He stayed on for 705 performances between May 1972 and February 1974 and appeared on the Original Cast album of 1972. English then starred in the TV mini-series Against the Wind and composed, produced, and recorded the soundtrack album with Mario Millo. The single "Six Ribbons" was the best-selling male pop single of 1979 and peaked at number five in January. English won Best New Talent at the 1979 Logie Awards and Against the Wind later became a hit TV series in Scandinavia and the .

In 1979, Millo recorded 'Epic III', his first solo album. He and his band toured Australia promoting 'Epic III' as support act to Joan Armatradin. owever, as a result of the ongoing success of 'Against The Wind', there was great demand for Mario and co-composer Jon English to headline their own tour to promote 'Against the Wind'. MARIO MILLO was born in Sydney, Australia in May 1955 to Italian parents, both whom had musical backgrounds. His music career began at the age of five when his father taught him to play the mandolin
