Released in March 1973, the album coincided with the release of their latest hit single "Pinball Wizard/See Me Feel Me", which reached in the UK. This single was a medley of two songs taken from the Who's rock opera Tommy and employed a harder-edged sound for the group with heavy use of electric guitars and sung in a rockier style.

The New Seekers had enjoyed a number of hits in the US by this time and toured there with Liza Minnelli in 1973 You and Me, a landmark programme designed to teach children how to express themselves and be independent through a series of vignettes. The Seekers toured extensively again: in 1997 to celebrate their first studio album in 30 years, 'Future Road' including a ‘making of’ video, in 2000 ‘The Carnival Of Hits’ world tour, and in March 2003 the Never Say Never Again tour to round out the decade. Their audiences still included fans as young as 3 years old to 23, 53, and 93 years young, all joining in the rhythms and singing all the words with gusto - just like it always was in the Sixties. They included Bruce’s iconic composition I Am Australian, and the newly-recorded "Massachusetts", thereby fulfilling an early dream of The Bee Gee. n 1969, Maurice Gibb had told an astonished Judith that when The Bee Gees first arrived in London they tried in vain to get "Massachusetts" to The Seekers to record as an early Seekers hit!
