Emergency & I is the third album by American indie rock band The Dismemberment Plan, released in 1999 by DeSoto Records. It was produced by J. Robbins and Chad Clark.

The Dismemberment Plan was a Washington . based indie rock band formed on January 1, 1993. Also known as D-Plan or The Plan, the name came from a stray phrase uttered by insurance salesman Ned Ryerson in the popular comedy Groundhog Day. The band members included Eric Axelson (bass), Jason Caddell (guitar), Joe Easley (drums), and Travis Morrison (vocals and guitar).

It is my understanding that the 2013 and 2011 versions are the same. Travis M. made an announcement that they "found" a bunch of them which is why they popped up again. This is a great LP. The bonus tracks on side four are killer!
