Ben Zion Shenker (born May 12, 1925, Manhattan, New York, USA - died 20 November 2016, USA) was an American rabbi, composer and singer. He was regarded as one of the leading figures in the composition of Hasidic niggunim (prayer melodies).

The Modzitzer rebbes are well known for their musical compositions, many of which were recorded by Ben Zion Shenker. 1 Rebbe Yechezkel Taub of Kuzmir (1755–1856). 2 Rebbe Shmuel Eliyahu Taub of Zvolin. 3 Rebbe Yisrael Taub (1849–1920). 4 Rebbe Shaul Yedidya Elazar Taub (1886–1947). 5 Rebbe Shmuel Eliyahu Taub (1905–1984). He travelled to Vilna, Lithuania, Russia and from there made his way to Japan. Eventually, with the help of some Modzitzer Hasidim, he and some family members reached the shores of San Francisco and then moved to Brooklyn, New York in 1940. It was during his stay in Brooklyn that Rebbe Shaul Yedidya Elazar became popular and helped rebuild Modzitz. He was a gifted songwriter and wrote over 1,000 Hasidic melodies.

Hankus Netsky is chairman of the Improvisation Department at the New England Conservatory of Music. Shenker served as the prayer leader in the Modzitzer synagogue in Brooklyn for more than five decades. He has stopped on the advice of his doctor, but he has in no way retired. During the recent holiday of Sukkot, he sang for two hours.
