The Good, the Bad, and the Argyle is the debut full-length release from New Jersey punk band, The Bouncing Souls. Released on November 1, 1994, the album runs 31 minutes and 18 seconds, and has 12 songs including covers of The Strangeloves' "I Want Candy," which was renamed to just "Candy", and The Waitresses' "I Know What Boys Like. The album got its title from the fact that some of the tracks were taken from EPs that the band released prior to the release of the full length.

Complete your The Bouncing Souls collection. I have a repress of this in yellow with black and white splatter. Any info on that? Over all a cool album of really early bouncing souls.

The Bouncing Souls not only became a staple in the New Brunswick music scene, but also helped other bands gain an audience by opening up for them in the clubs around town, as well as parties and shows they put on themselves. The band's name is a derivative of Doc Martens shoes, specifically their advertising slogan "with Bouncing Soles" Their first full-length album, The Good, The Bad & The Argyle was released in 1994 on Chunksaah Records, their own label

A new version of Last. The Good, the Bad, and the Argyle. Overview (current section).

The Bouncing Souls started off as a simple little band from New Jersey. During the humbling times of their less-than-glamorous beginnings, the Souls played a fusion of funk, metal, and punk, creating an extremely messy, yet unique sound. Eventually, they channeled their energies into a fast, raw brand of punk. Whilst doing this, the band managed to retain its own unique individuality. However, a good portion of their fans consider the band’s greatest achievement to be their 1994 debut album, The Good, The Bad, and The Argyle. On their debut, the Souls combine intoxicatingly addictive lyrics with a wide variety of instrumentation; ranging from lightly textured, to surprisingly deep composition.

Bouncing Souls had just released this and the 'Souls came up often in conversation. They played NYC often and at least 10 of my new upper classmen friends would be talking about going to the show all week, and come Monday they would go on and on about how much fun they had watching the 'Souls and dancing the night away. This album has almost every element to earn it a special place in my heart, along with my friends, we both grew and dealt with issues, often slapping this album on while taking long drives. The 'Souls music is laced with energy, joy, confusion, and melody. wow. this album is good. it has OLD SCHOOL bouncing souls, and it has a cover of the crappy song (but they made it good) CANDY, and im not sure if its a vinyl only bonus track, but it has the cover of another crappy cover song made good by BS I KNOW WHAT BOYS LIKE.

Pretty straightforward pop-punk with a backbone, the Bouncing Souls take slack from no one with their debut The Good, the Bad and the Argyle. Emerging out of the toxic swamps of New Jersey, the Souls take us back to the days of being a mischievous teenager without a care in the world. With songs that deal with the neuroses of daily life and healing a broken heart, a lot of their energy is spent paying tribute to the '80s.
